Our code of conduct apply to all our gym facilities:

  • Newton Abbot Leisure Centre
  • Dawlish Leisure Centre
  • Broadmeadow Sports Centre
  1. All fitness suite users must read and understand the Health Commitment Statement.
  2. All fitness suite users must swipe in at the gym or reception.
  3. All fitness suite users must keep their leisure card with them at all times and not be given to other users to use.
  4. Appropriate clean sports clothing and footwear must be worn (No denim or boots)
  5. No baggage is to be brought into the fitness suite. Please use the lockers provided.
  6. Smoking, E-cigarettes or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.
  7. No food is to be consumed.
  8. All fitness users must wipe down machines after use. Please bring a towel.
  9. At peak times the centre has the right to limit the use of cardiovascular equipment to 15 minutes.
  10. Only fitness suite users that have had an induction are permitted to use the fitness suite.
  11. Allow other users to work with you between sets if they are waiting for the same equipment.
  12. Teignbridge Leisure operates a zero tolerance policy for foul and abusive language towards staff or customers.
  13. Report any faults to a member of staff and do not use.
  14. Only use equipment that you have been shown and feel confident to use.
  15. Gym equipment to be used for intended purpose.
  16. Mobile phones can be used for music and fitness apps only, not photography, texting and making calls.
  17. Ensure equipment is put away correctly and not left on the fitness suite floor.
  18. Please make this a fun, healthy and enjoyable experience for all.
